For as long as I can remember, nature has been a special part of my life. I loved exploring the woods around my house and taking hikes at local trails. I was fascinated by the sounds of birds in the trees and the crunching of twigs under my feet, by the appearance of the sky through the treetops, and by the smells of dirt, leaves, and flowers. Born and raised in Massachusetts, the New England weather and terrain always offered something exciting, with its rocky shorelines, rolling mountainsides, and ever-changing seasons. When I began writing music, nature became an inspiration for many of my compositions. I used the outdoors as a vision for my pieces and a respite for my soul. Then, after receiving my Therapeutic Musician Certification in 2018, I delved even deeper into music's relation to nature, and how both contribute to healing on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. Before long, I began studying books on Nature Therapy, mapped out my treks, and took my therapy harps to the New England terrain. Thus, The Hiking Harpist was born.
The Hiking Harpist brings the healing elements of music and nature to the forefront. The depths of calm that can be achieved with this combination are extraordinary. Whether I meet you on the trails, or you're experiencing my audio and video productions, I hope that you will find peace, uplift, and positivity. I've devoted my career to offering holistic health integrations with music, nature, mindfulness, yoga, and mental health. In addition to being a Therapeutic Musician, I also hold degrees and certifications in psychology, life coaching, and mindfulness. The Hiking Harpist is a true embodiment of my mission to help others find their own place of healing. peace, well-being, and emotional expression. I am thrilled to be sharing this experience with you, so thank you for being here.
